Bridgeway Community Church App (BCSV)

Introduction
Bridgeway Community Church (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the BCSV mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App.
- Opinion/Request Submissions: When you submit opinions or requests through the App, the content you provide is sent to our server for church staff review.
- Staff Mode Credentials: If you are a staff member, you may enter a password to access staff features. This password is stored locally on your device.
- App Preferences: We store your language preference (Korean/English), theme setting, and home screen card visibility settings locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device.
- Cache Data: The App caches content (announcements, Bible texts, serving schedules, messages) locally on your device to improve performance and enable offline access. This data never leaves your device.
- We do not collect personal identification information (name, email, phone number) unless you voluntarily include it in a submission.
- We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising services.
- We do not collect location data.
- We do not collect device identifiers or usage statistics.
Device Permissions
The App may request the following device permissions:

All permissions are used solely for the stated purposes. Camera and photo library access are only activated when you explicitly initiate a photo action.
Third-Party Services
The App communicates with the following external services:
- Google Sheets API: Used to read and write church-related data (announcements, schedules, etc.). Data sent to Google Sheets is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Docs: Used to fetch formatted church content for display.
We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or social media SDKs.
Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: App preferences and cached content are stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences and secure storage. This data is accessible only to the App and is removed when you uninstall the App.
- Data in Transit: All network communication uses HTTPS to encrypt data during transmission.
- Staff Credentials: Staff passwords are stored locally on the device. We recommend using unique passwords for staff access.
Data Retention
- Local Data: Cached content and preferences remain on your device until you clear the App’s data or uninstall the App.
- Submitted Content: Opinions and requests submitted through the App are retained in our church systems as needed for church operations.
Children’s Privacy
Our App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is intended for use by members and attendees of Bridgeway Community Church.
Your Rights
You can:
- Clear Local Data: Clear all locally stored data by clearing the App’s data in your device settings or uninstalling the App.
- Control Permissions: Revoke any device permission (camera, photos, notifications) through your device’s settings at any time.
- Request Data Deletion: Contact us to request deletion of any submitted content from our systems.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
